  so this is mostly **new/supplementary** vocabulary and dialogue
  practice, though it draws on Akkusativ ("ich möchte einen Kaffee")
  from **L6**.

### Akkusativ with möchte/haben (reinforces Menschen L6)
"Ich möchte bitte einen Kaffee" / "Ich hätte gerne einen Wein" — same
masculine -en pattern as everywhere else; feminine/neuter nouns stay
unchanged (eine Pizza, ein Bier).

   ordering coffee) and fill in the missing words; (19b) listen and
   repeat, playing the customer's role in a second, parallel café
   dialogue (tea with lemon).

Paul nimmt ein Wasser und Spaghetti mit Tomatensoße. Das Essen
schmeckt sehr gut. Sie reden und lachen viel. Sie essen auch ein
Schokoladeneis. Das Eis ist sehr lecker! Nach dem Essen bezahlt Paul
die Rechnung. Der Abend war sehr schön!" (lecker = "das Essen schmeckt
sehr gut" — glossed by the book itself.)

## Notes / gotchas

- **"Das stimmt so" (keep the change) is a genuinely important
  real-world phrase** not formally taught elsewhere in these three
  supplementary books — worth flagging as a standing useful phrase for
  paying in cash at cafés/restaurants in German-speaking countries.
- **Ü19/Ü20's "b" dialogues are complete parallel dialogues**, not
  fill-in exercises — good material to have the student read/perform
  both roles aloud for pronunciation and fluency practice, since the
  full correct text is already given.
- **This is a short, focused section (3 exercises, 9 pages)** —
  suitable for a single practical "restaurant German" session,
  especially combined with the Wortschatz & Grammatik book's Abschnitt
  F for broader food vocabulary.
- **The dictation text (Ü21) is good standalone reading/listening
  practice** even without audio — have the student read it aloud. Note
  it's written almost entirely in the **historical present** (Präsens
  used to narrate a completed past event: "Lisa bestellt...", "Paul
  nimmt..."), only switching to Präteritum for the closing remark ("Der
  Abend **war** sehr schön!") — a common, simplified A1 storytelling
  style worth pointing out, since it differs from the Perfekt-based
  past narration taught in Menschen L11/L12.
