+## Notes / gotchas
+
+- **Familienstand vocabulary (ledig/verlobt/verheiratet/geschieden/
+  verwitwet) is a genuinely useful, compact 5-word set** not
+  systematically taught elsewhere — worth memorizing as a fixed group,
+  since these come up constantly on official forms (matches the
+  Familienstand field seen on the registration forms in the Lesen &
+  Schreiben book's Abschnitt A).
+- **"Mein Mann ist leider schon gestorben"** is a softened, polite way
+  to say a spouse died — worth flagging as the natural real-world
+  phrasing rather than a blunter alternative, since this kind of
+  euphemistic softening ("leider schon") is a genuine pragmatic skill.
+- **Ü24 is the best "put it all together" exercise across every
+  supplementary book so far** — it combines name/age (L1),
+  family/marital status (L3), origin (L1/L10), and profession (L2)
+  into single connected monologues. Excellent model for the student to
+  imitate when preparing their own self-introduction.
