These three adjectives/adverbs are irregular in German (like
good/better/best in English) and are **not covered anywhere in Menschen
A1.1**:

## Notes / gotchas

- **K2 is new grammar** — comparison (Komparativ/Superlativ) isn't part
  of Menschen A1.1 at all, so present this as a bonus topic rather than
  review. It's genuinely useful vocabulary (gern/lieber/am liebsten is
  extremely common in everyday speech) even though it's technically
  beyond the curriculum.
- **gern is an adverb, not an adjective** — "Ich spiele gern Tennis" (I
  like playing tennis), not describing a noun. Worth distinguishing from
  gut/viel, which behave more like typical adjectives.
- **This is the shortest section in the book so far (2 sub-exercises,
  2 pages)** — good candidate to pair with a quick review of Section J
  or a light practice session rather than a standalone session.
