- **J4 is the standout "new grammar" item here** — Menschen A1.1 never
|
||||
drills Possessivartikel case endings (only the bare Nominativ form
|
||||
mein/dein). If the student hasn't covered Akkusativ/Dativ articles
|
||||
formally yet, this exercise will feel like a jump; consider it optional
|
||||
enrichment rather than required review.
|
||||
- **J3's "zero article" case is worth explaining explicitly**: German
|
||||
drops the article for plural/uncountable nouns used in a general sense
|
||||
(Blumen sind schön = "flowers are beautiful" in general), which has no
|
||||
clean English equivalent since English also often drops the article
|
||||
there — but German learners from article-heavy L1s (Romance languages)
|
||||
may over-apply an article here.
|
||||
- **J5 reinforces nicht/kein** but assumes comfort with Perfekt (L11/L12)
|
||||
since all the negated sentences are in past tense — good combined
|
||||
review if both grammar points are already familiar.

- **The Possessivartikel pattern (J4) mirrors ein/eine/kein's declension**
